TALKING A GOOD GAME
?This has been a rollercoaster ride ? and I hate rollercoasters.?
South African Trevor Immelman after winning the Masters.
?I wonder how long the four minutes will last??
Archie McPherson during Rangers? recent match against Sporting in Lisbon. Probably four minutes Archie?
?I hope it?s true. I would not protest against it. But I don?t know if Ronaldinho wants to play in the Intertoto Cup next season.?
Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson on the chances of the Brazilian joining the Blues.
BETTER FROM DONS THIS WEEK!!
After last Saturday?s horror show against Queen of the South, some Aberdeen fans were dreading having to face Celtic at the weekend.
Despite losing 1-0, the Dons gave the SPL title holders a tough match. They could have even nicked a point if Zander Diamond?s injury-time effort had not been disallowed for handball.
The Dons will be looking to prove themselves over the remaining few games after missing out on the Scottish Cup final. With players fighting for new contracts, there should be no lack of effort from Jimmy Calderwood?s men in their last four games of the season.
SCOTS LOOK TO DO WELL AT CRUCIBLE
The Snooker World Championships got underway this weekend at the Crucible in Sheffield. John Higgins began his defence of the crown against Matthew Stevens and the Scot looked in fine form as he defeated Stevens 10-5.
John?s fellow countrymen Graeme Dott, Stephen Hendry and Stephen Maguire will also be looking to follow his lead. Hopefully Graeme Dott manages to put on a good display. The 30-year-old has decided to play in the event despite suffering from depression.
