The Summer Property Market in Aberdeen-Realism returns

Well now, what are the prospects going to be like for buyers and sellers during this period?

Well I believe that a sense of realism has finally arrived and although it?s been a long time coming its extremely welcome just now.

Over the last couple of months there has been a marked slowdown in activity in the Aberdeen property market. This is down, in no small part, to the credit crunch with the withdrawal of 100% loans which has in turn meant that first time buyers have struggled to get a property.
Those selling to the first time buyers market should by now have become a little more realistic in what they are looking for by way of a sale price, or else they may find that their properties continue to sit unsold.

This sense of realism should get the property market going again and sellers on their way up the ladder and first time buyers moved into a new property where before sellers were holding out for prices they d heard had been achieved next door last year.

The message just now then is to make sure you speak to a property expert before making your next move in or around Aberdeen, as what?s happening elsewhere in the UK and globally is having an effect everywhere, no matter how much of a micro economy we think we live in here in Aberdeen.
