TALKING A GOOD GAME

?It'll be nice to know that every gallon of petrol a Manchester United fan buys is going into our transfer kitty."
Noel Gallagher from Oasis is ecstatic after the Abu Dhabi United Group takeover at Manchester City.

"I can confirm he can certainly swear in English!"
Joe Cole admits that Fabio Capello has been brushing up on his English.

?It was three English judges - in England. A fighter knows in his heart if he has won or lost a fight and I really thought I had won."
Scottish boxer Alex Arthur is devastated after his points defeat to Nicky Cook in Manchester.

DISASTER FOR THE DONS

Hamilton recorded their first win over Aberdeen in almost 78 years ? thanks to strikes from David Graham and teenage sensation James McCarthy.

Even the return of Sone Aluko, who put in an impressive display on his second debut for the Dons, was not enough to prevent Billy Reid?s men securing a famous victory.

The Accies continue to gain admirers for their refreshing style of football. They retain the ball well and have a good blend of exciting youngsters and seasoned professionals.

Many had tipped Hamilton for the drop but if their early season form is anything to go by they may be hanging around the top flight for some time yet.

Jimmy Calderwood will be hugely frustrated with the result as he knows that this is the type of match that his side must win if they are to mount a serious challenge for third spot.

The Dons now have two tough games on the horizon, firstly against Dundee United at home followed by a trip to Celtic Park. Should the Dons fail to win against their Dundee rivals next week, September could be a month to forget.

LIVERPOOL: SERIOUS TITLE CHALLENGERS?

Liverpool look like they could give Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal a run for their money after an impressive win over eternal enemies Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday.

Ryan Babel?s bobble gave Liverpool all three points after a Wes Brown own goal had cancelled out Tevez?s early opener.

Liverpool have strengthened over the summer and may finally have a squad that is better equipped to deal with a European campaign along with challenging for the Premier League title.

Four points from their first three games is not an ideal start for Sir Alex Ferguson?s side but Manchester United will be up at the top of the table come the end of the season. But don?t rule out Liverpool being the team up there challenging them ? or Manchester City providing they don?t lose too much ground on the top four before they spend their millions in the January transfer window.
